This is my story about bed bugs. My lives in an apartment that is infested with them. He’s been to visit me many times before telling me about his “problem”. I searched my home and found nothing, but I returned home from a trip recently and I think that I may have brought them home in my luggage. I found them on my sheets and went crazy. I checked the mattress edges like I read online and sure enough they were there. I bought a mattress encasement designed specifically for bed bugs and put both the box spring and mattress in it, I washed all the bedding in hot water, I moved the bed away from the wall. I also put vaseline on the legs of the bed. Now my home is bed bug free. I have read that if they are in my apartment they will even come out during the day to feed, so obviously I have entrapped them all in the bed/boxspring encasement as I have not had one bite since, nor seen any. Early detection and treatment will keep them from getting out of control.

My roomate lives at the other end of the long hallway, we have white tile floors thru the whole house.. he came back from a trip to disney , with them in his luggage in mid June, i have lived in the house since september and i have had no problems.. nor has the other roomate..I have always smelled almond in his room.. since june.. i never have smelled it thru the house.. or on me.
My roomate who has the bed bugs and the bites has come from his bed and layed down on my new mattress.. he didnt think anything of it, he acted like he was the host for these bugs in his bed only, that they will just stay with him…. now i have blood marks on the light pillow cases i washed 2 nights ago..and last night i was laying in the queen size bed we bought the begining of november, and felt tiny bugs crawling into my ear.. my buddy said i was imagining it.. as i saw them run across my pillow and video it.. I now know about the infestation, and that the house and the dogs have.. and that My roomate that brought them here, never researched bedbugs enough to know what could happen to everyone in this house.. i guess he was wrong to say that Bedbugs cant move across the white tile floor thru the house… I wish he had researched this before i bought the new bed, and now i have them all over me… THANKS MISTA B!

I don’t know but we have seen them in our Apt. We bombed our Apt with Hot Shot Bed Bug and Flea Fogger. Then Management came and sprayed the whole building. For awhile everything was good (about two weeks
) Then the red bugs showed up as you described. The only thing is people move in with their bugs and when people move, the roaches and bedbugs move to another Apt. I have the bottom of my doors blocked but they still manage to get in I have Boric Powder under my Kitchen sink and in various other places so they have to walk in it, then they seek water. It sounds bad but I leave urine in the toilet, and soapy water in the sink. It makes the sick along with the powder. they usually fall in or move really slow easier to kill. I grew up in the country and had never seen a roach or bedbug. I lived in a house for 18yrs and never had roaches or bedbugs. Now I’m in an Apt and this is nerve racking I feel sometimes I’m going crazy.Between Fibromyalsia and bedbugs I have many sleepless nights That’s one thing the Government could focus on.A cure.Just Saying @MARIE:

So I just moved into a new apartment a week ago. The landlord told us the apartment had been sprayed 3 times a day for two weeks, so we felt safe from the bedbugs. We bought a second hand couch a few days later but it had been cleaned and ensured of no bugs. The first night we were in our apartment my fiance felt itchy, but we didn’t think anything of it. He woke up in the morning with a patch of bumps on his side that he sleeps on. The next morning I woke up with a patch of bumps on my hand. We are thinking about breaking our lease, we feel so disgusting! We come from the country and have never had this problem until we moved into our first apartment. We’re scared that they are on our clothes and everyplace else. Someone please help us

@karen: I also have them in my apartment. I’ve noticed them on the rim of my mattress and on the wood part of my furniture. They almost look like a lady bug. They start off really small , until they feed. They also like to hide out on cracks and crevices. If you have small blood spatter on your sheets or pillows , thats another sign. They also hang around the electrical outlet. Pets can easily be infected. I recommend to contact a Bug specialist. Exterminator!!!
